Behind the Splash is an independent, fan-operated publication covering SeaWorld parks, attractions, animals, entertainment, events, food, and the stories behind them.
Our goal is simple: provide SeaWorld fans with useful, accurate, and engaging coverage from people who genuinely enjoy and follow the parks. While our strongest firsthand coverage comes from SeaWorld Orlando, Behind the Splash also follows major developments at SeaWorld San Diego, SeaWorld San Antonio, and related SeaWorld experiences when they’re relevant to our readers.
Our coverage includes breaking and confirmed news, attraction and construction updates, shows and entertainment, animal stories, events, food and dining, historical features, guides, reviews, and original reporting.
Behind the Splash is not operated by SeaWorld or United Parks & Resorts. We are an independent publication created by park fans. That independence allows us to celebrate the things we love, report on changes and developments, offer our own analysis, and occasionally ask questions that an official company publication might not.
At the same time, we aim to be fair, accurate, and respectful in the way we cover the parks, their employees, animals, guests, and the wider SeaWorld community.
Contributors and the SeaWorld Community
Behind the Splash may feature contributions from photographers, creators, influencers, and other knowledgeable SeaWorld fans. Contributors can bring perspectives from different parks and experiences while also receiving credit and links back to their own channels or websites when appropriate. We believe it works best when the publication and the wider fan community support each other rather than compete.
If you have a story idea, correction, photo, question, or news tip, we’d like to hear from you. Visit our Contact page to get in touch.
